Building Survey, Beaminster

April 2017 –Our clients requested a Building Survey on a Period Grade II Listed semi-detached four bedroom house within walking distance of the town centre in Beaminster, Dorset.

A traditional property with a detached barn, recent refurbishments and repairs had been sympathetically completed, although as the original building dated from between 1700 to 1800 and is listed Wessex Surveyors advised our client to expect further maintenance and repairs.

The survey reported a number of legal enquiries to be pursued in connection with the risk of flooding, conversion works (as the building was once a commercial property), and extension works, as well as an extensive list of considerations for future maintenance.
