Wessex Surveyors provide a full range of property advice in Sturminster Newton, including:

Sturminster Newton is a small market town situated at the site of a historic ford across the River Stour in the Blackmore Vale in Dorset.

The town’s economy has long been based on agriculture, notably dairy farming, enjoying a large and well-established livestock market until it closed in 1997. This land has been transformed into a modern development with housing and commercial spaces and a purpose-built community building.

Sturminster has a thriving commercial zone and a wide array of independent businesses. Its popular Monday market was instituted by Royal Charter in 1219. The architecture in Sturminster is varied including thatched cottages from the 1600s and 1700s, along with Georgian stone buildings and Victorian brick houses.

Sturminster Newton is situated at the junction of the A357 and B3091 within commuter distance of Yeovil and Poole. The nearest railway stations are ten miles away in Gillingham and Templecombe, both on the Exeter to Waterloo line.

Wessex Surveyors cover Sturminster and the villages nearby, including Hinton St Mary, Manston, Okeford Fitzpaine, Fifehead Neville, Marnhull, Child Okeford, Shillingstone and Stalbridge.
